Say hello to Split, AJ Products' new semi-acoustic range of screens and room dividers for the office. Split was created by AJ Product's in-house designer Elin Basander André and is an affordable option that provides privacy while also absorbing some of the noise in the room. The Split range gives you plenty of choices to find the best solution for your workplace!
"The Split screen range combines flexibility and practical yet modern design so you can define different spaces, help reduce some of the noise in the room and provide privacy", explains Elin.
A product designed with the environment in mind
The products have been developed in close collaboration with local suppliers to minimise the carbon footprint by reducing the transport time and giving us close control over the materials used.
"We have experimented with materials and thickness to use as little raw material as possible in order to minimise the environmental impact. The materials we have chosen are PET felt, which has a low environmental impact, in combination with tubular steel frames that will last a long time", says Elin.
Perfect for a modern office
Thanks to its light weight, the Split series is ideal for today's office environment, as the screens are easy to move around when necessary. The standing desk screen is perfect for placing on a conference or lunchroom table to create temporary workplaces and private spheres, making it perfect in activity-based flexible offices as well as schools.
The Split screens are available in four colours, four designs and with four unique features, allowing the user to easily customise their office layout to create a uniform look across the workplace. As well as having a practical application, the wall panels can be used as decoration; it is easy to create unique designs by mixing screens of different colours.
In addition to its smart features, Split creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the room. Choose between classic grey tones or add some colour with green and burgundy options.
"The needle punched felt gives the screens a simple but warm look while the grid pattern in the felt creates structure. We have chosen greyscale colours that suit most styles and added a warm green tone that fits well in offices with lots of plants. As an accent, we have chosen a wine-red tone that is nice to match with pink tones", Elin says.
4 ways to use Split
1. On the wall: Acoustic panels absorb sound and give the room a cosy feeling. Mix and match different sizes and colours to create a customised design.2. On the table: Desk standing screens can be used to provide privacy and reduce noise when creating temporary workplaces on a larger table. They can be moved around easily, making them ideal if you sometimes use the space for collaborative work but, at other times, use it as a quiet working area.
3. On the desktop: Install desk screens on one, two or three sides of the desk depending on your needs. Perfect for creating private working areas and reducing noise levels.
4. On the floor: Floor screens can be used as room dividers to separate different areas. The light weight makes it easy to move the screens around and create "rooms within a room". They are particularly well suited to open-plan offices.
