How to use screens to keep your distance
The fight against the Coronavirus continues. The pandemic affects us all and no one knows what to expect next, except that we will have to continue to follow various restrictions for the foreseeable future. This means, among other things, that we must go on helping each other to keep a social distance, at work as well as in the community. Here are some tips on how to improve safety for yourself and others with the help of standard floor and desk screens.
Keep your colleagues at a distance
In offices, screens are already a common sight. They are used, among other things, to create privacy in open office landscapes and for their effective acoustic properties. In the example above, our interior designer has taken it one step further by breaking up and separating a regular desk constellation and placing screens around the whole desktop. By increasing the distance between the desks and adding a physical barrier, there is less risk for each employee.
Increase safety in the waiting room
In normal times, people rarely mind sharing a waiting room with other people. However, these are not normal times and it is important now to keep your distance. Fortunately, it is possible to make customers and patients feel safe in these situations as well, by limiting numbers, separating the chairs and placing a floor screen in between each seat. Easy, safe and reassuring for everyone.
Make it safe in the cafeteria
The same is true of restaurants, coffee shops, bars and company cafeterias, where a crowded room is usually seen as a good thing, giving the place atmosphere. Today, a busy room increases the risk and many guests are nervous to enter, that is unless something is done to separate the tables so they can feel confident other guests are far enough away. A screen between the tables may be enough for the guests to enjoy what brought them there: the food, the drink and the company.
