These ergonomic chairs are certified by FIRA to BS EN 5459-2:2000, meaning they are structurally suitable and sufficiently stable for 24-hour contract use for people weighing up to 24 stone (150 kg) – perfect for demanding work environments such as call centres and control rooms that are open 24/7. The heavy-duty asynchronous mechanism enables you to adjust the tilt of the back and seat independently of each other, change the height of the backrest and move the seat up or down so you can vary your posture and find the most comfortable position. For extra comfort, the 24-hour chairs come with height- and width-adjustable armrests. The foam in the seat and back is rated for fire retardancy to BS 5852 and the fabric upholstery to BS 7176 medium hazard. A black, nylon 5-star base is fitted as standard, but you can choose to purchase a polished aluminium base separately – see accessories below.

Don’t forget to add a chair mat to protect the floor or carpet from wear and tear. For a completely ergonomic solution you may want to consider adding a footrest to support your lower legs or even purchasing a height-adjustable desk to allow you to sit or stand as you prefer.
